There are some issues here and there, but overall I really enjoyed the experience!The biggest problem I had with this game has to be the camera, sometimes it works in the way that you can't see where you're going, but for most of the time it does a pretty good job at following the character without too much interruption to the player.The bosses felt a bit repetitive, since they do have the same designs. Big bone snake works in some places, but I think for some places the boss can be replaced with different species, ones that fit the atmosphere of the world.~Now, even with those issues, the game itself is absolutely adorable and the character has more character than I expected by the time I finish the first playthrough! The simplicity of controls work, and as much as it resembles Mario games, it works with this game very well.~seriously this game is so friggin' cute and colorful I love it. This is to Super Mario 3D Land as the Giana Sisters was to, well, the original Super Mario Bros.- an obvious clone but for the PC. For a clone, however, this is far better than most other efforts I've seen at the 3D platforming genre in recent years. It's no A Hat in Time, but certainly no Yooka Laylee either. Its technical performance is excellent, the fixed-camera perspective assures that there won't be much difficulty seeing what you need to 99 percent of the time, and the level design is interesting and varied enough despite borrowing a TON from 3D Land. Unlike a lot of indie platformers being churned out after the success of Celeste, this one isn't teeth-gnashingly difficult and is a reminder that games of this genre don't have to be an exercise in frustration to be enjoyable. At the end of the day, if you were fond of 3D Land/World and simply want more of it then you can't go wrong with Suzy Cube at its $8 price tag. It plays it safe and is by no means groundbreaking, but given just how worn out 2D platformers with an 8-bit aesthetic are at this point, the simple polygonal look and solid 3D hop-and-bop gameplay is a breath of fresh air.. It is a fun little game and I enjoyed playing it quite a bit , however I am a sucker for achievements and there are 3 of those which are not working currently which locks everyone out of getting 100%. The devs said they would fix it early july but they have no released anything since and dropped all communication with players. I can not recommend this game until it is fixed. which is a shame because it is a fun gameNow that the achievements are fixed i'd gladly recommend this game because it is quite enjoyable to play, but the fact that you can 100% it now makes it a lot more appealing. It was exactly what I expected: a game that is similar to Super Mario 3D Land/World, but with simpler controls and gameplay, but still doesn't disappoint. Well, not much. It has its issues, such as lack of window scaling or resizing for being a mobile port and a lack of "quick restart" button at the end of the level (a staple of mobile games) for the case you miss any star and want to quickly redo the stage and find them again.But overall, the game is light, not long and doesn't have heavy duty requirements.
